XFN Beach Party

After hanging out at the IBG charity event on November 14th, join XFN and Friends on Sunday, November 15th for a day at the beach to celebrate the Believe in the Future campaign, the end of the Frankenbear Worldwide Tour and XFN's 2nd birthday!
The fun starts at 12pm at Santa Monica State Beach, Santa Monica, CA.

Bring your own snacks and whatever else you will need for a fun filled day of phile togetherness. (no alcohol please)

I fly out that night, so I can grab a bag of chips, as long as you bring the bowls.

Okay, so here's what I'm thinking is needed:

- drinks
- cups
- bowls (for chips)
- dips (spinach or salsa?)
- small plates
- Hot Dogs (is there a grill nearby?)
- aluminum foil to place said hot dogs on the grill (also good for taking food to go)
- charcoal + lighter fluid + matches/lighter
- ketchup, mustard, relish

That seems short and simple. Too many options means too much extra food left over.

Another option is to have XFN buy the food stuff and then each guest donates $5 or $10 to help cover the costs.

I hate charging an admission though. A compromise might be that Avi and I bring a cake or cupcakes or something and then maybe some basic stuff and then everyone can bring just what they personally want to have.

That or we can come up with a sign up sheet in the next few days and tell people to bring something to share...

I'm open to any and all options :P

Since most of us are traveling in next weekend, how about you and Avi get plates, cups, silverware, napkins. That way guests can stop by the store and pick up soda containers, chips, dip, etc. I'm coming with 2 friends so we can grab 2 bags of chips and 2 drinks.

I am geographically challenged. Can a local tell me how far this will be from LAX?
