New Clips!
I've been going on 80 all day, so imagine my surprise when Twitter tells me the two new film festival clips are up! And even better than that, they are up in HD. Oh, my pretty. Head on over to Yahoo movies to check it out. Then come back here where we can dissect it down to every um and stutter.

I just saw this like an hour ago and flipped,lmao I love that we have HD clips now--too bad they don't show the part of him telling her he is trying to ignore her--I love that part,haha.
Mulder's stutter on that booking agent line was I dunno weak because it would of been just perfect without the stutter but then again it's perfect because its more natural & normal..not every line is perfect..ya know? and Scully saying STOP was humorous because I dunno it was so unexpected..maybe it makes sense for that whole scene but in that clip it's just funny.
The dynamic between the two in that scene gave me chills and it also felt weird because it's like we haven't seen them in forever and to see a new scene with them in this context was amazing and yet strange. I have no idea if that makes sense but it's true for me,lol. I cannot wait to see more.
I couldn't watch the other clip because my dogs started freaking out hearing the dogs in the clip bark,lmfao..anyways will watch soon :)

I'm at work, so I had my standard reaction when I saw the clips up, which was something like this (in my head): "OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG!" It was very difficult to suppress my massive internal squee but I managed. ;)
I had watched the bootleg versions of these clips, and I have to say they are SO much better when we can actually see what is going on. I wasn't happy with the M&S spat clip; it sounded forced to me, almost exaggerated, like a stage play or something. Especially the way Scully said "Stop!" BUT, watching it now and seeing their expressions, it just works. The look of near panic on Scully's face completely sells it.
I have faith in these people. I can't wait to be sitting in that darkened theatre just letting myself carried away by the story and these characters. I'm booking my babysitter now. July 25th, BRING IT ON. :)

LMAO I showed the clips to my sister--the first clip was really good UNTIL the dude started like fake screaming and we started laughing. Then the second clip with M&S..well I love it because of the duo and the situation my sister was all like..."Oh I have a feeling that when we go see this movie we will be disappointed"..my sister is a casual fan and was really into the trailers but after seeing these clips she was not at all impressed..and I was like AGH..but I hear her--I wasn't that impressed with certain moments in the clips which sounded off in some ways. But hell I'm still going to be the first person in line to see (and I'm dragging her to see it,lmao not much of a drag cause she still wants to see it)--these are just clips..hopefully more will come out.

Oh God! I LOVED THE CLIPS!!! Obviously I loved more the second one...lol... it is great!!! The expression on Mulder´s face when Scully mentions his sister and he says "My sister is death"...awwwww!! you can tell it´s something that still hurts... and Scully all worried about him....awww!! I don´t know how I will be able to watch the entire movie without having a heart attack lol.

Bebuzo --doesn't Mulder look like he wants to cry at the end of the clip? on the other clip it didn't seem that way but the way this one on yahoo ends he does look like it.

I hope this "Mulder, STOP!" is the scene that GA was talking about - the one where she said she sucked, because...well she kind of did and so did DD.
It sounded to me like Duchovny was trying to re-adjust from Hank to Mulder while Anderson sounded like... well, like GA trying to remember how to play Scully.
The whole exchange sounded off to me with big "Acting!" alarm bells on.
And the least said about that "sister" line, the better. Seriously, that old chestnut, again?
But as usual, benefit of the doubt dipped in indulgence and all that...

Scarletb--THANK you! I totally agree--I love the scene only because it's M&S again,lol just seeing them and I like the context of the scene..and that sister line was much better but still not the best scene to pimp out the movie--so that's why my sister when I showed her was disappointed and is already thinking we may be disappointed ---she made several comments about the acting too at certain parts --...I don't think we are or I'm just way too much of a fan to even believe that...
And that other scene--what they are calling the opening scene (is it really?) was good until that fake scream--seriously cannot get over it --but someone said that the LA clip lasted longer as well for that so it didn't look/sound as bad as the yahoo clip made it out to be too bad that they didn't just include that for the official release clip.
But in all honesty--even though I have some problems with the clips it hasn't stopped me from watching them several times,lmao :)

Krystal ;) Yeah...I totally agree...Mulder seems to be about to let a tear out...too much angst!!! I think it is normal that we feel a little bit off about the clips...6 years have passed and to re-encounter this characters that *I hope* have a different dynamic can be shocking... but in a great-exciting-beyod expectations way.

Bebuzo -- yeah I think it's the whole it's been too long and to finally hear/see them again it's a little strange...maybe that's why i'm like really off in some parts of the clips. I told myself I'm not going to have expectations because hell I was too excited (still am) about just having a movie that I didn't care but now that actual clips are coming out I guess I do have expectations in some way --not that they broke any of them..just that I was hoping for more than given if that makes sense? Anyways--no biggie really about these clips cause like I said before even though I feel off in some of these clips it hasn't stopped me from watching them several times--and hey! It's on yahoo main page! *g*
Livinia--I'm with you the "trying to ignore you" part really made my day when I first heard it--it's already my favorite line,haha
