Big Light

Its become awfully quiet in here. I know its the holidays and all, but..

I bet there are endless lists of things we connect with the X-Files. Liiike..neon green, sunflower seeds, implants in the neck,Cerulean Blue , auburn hair etc. .
So on daily bases we associate things with our favorite TV Show.

1-800-266-scully!!! Love it. This must be where all of Mulder's phone calls go.

Has anyone else ever seen these 'Scully' trucks on the road? I see them all the time and they always make me smile :)

Just was looking up the years of birth and death of some philosphers and writers.

and apparently Kleist http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heinrich_von_Kleist

Reading about European Colonization in South America.

Where the author tries to make clear the superior feeling of the Europeans he explains there is a division between faith and reason as the Indians just BELIEVED due to oral tradition, while the Europeans tried to establish their believe logistically by having discourses about them. (Though I just think this comes from the time of Reformation)

Well ... the author tells the "Nahuatl" (the main language of the Indians) word for truth was naltiliztli, which comes from root, foundation, so truth for the Indians had to do directly with stability, tradition. So the author asks "does mankind have the truth, do we have enduring things?"

That´s so much the end of THE TRUTH - of course *g*
And for me the answere, that my faith, my truth is the X Files as it is the most steady thing in my life and... Mulder and Scully are permanent in their devotion - for each other and THEIR TRUTH.

LOVE IT
So I used to listen to this radio station we have here a lot, but haven't done so lately. And they do this tv quiz where you have to guess which tv show it is from the theme song they play. So I had the opportunity to listen to this radio station today, and they played the X-Files theme.
I was practically jumping with joy, I mean what is the chance that the one day I listen to this radio station, they play the XF theme, it must be a sign :-D
Maaaaaaah, this is great! Remember the time we were on a funfair and just standing before the ghost train, when they played THE THEME ^^

Well well... as "the X Factor" came on TV, the jury said "we´re not on the X-Files, searching for aliens, but..."
--> But of course I hate, they take OUR X and ... then even dare to use the name of the show for critisize bad singers.... *sigh*

Mahaha, AND actually... I saw A COCK AND A BULL STORY first time yesterday.
- "He get´s Agent Mulder..."
-"Scully"
...mhahaha, love that scene! And how Gillian made fun about this
Oh, ... I seem to be very easy pleased... three times in row a mahahaha as beginning of ... something... *sigh*
Well, the XF world is the only one that seems to please me that way ;)

Interview with philosopher and writer Chris Carter
This is an interview for my blog with philosopher and author Chris Carter about consciousness, philosophy and parapsychology. Carter is author of the books Parapsychology and The Skeptics, and Science and the Near Death Experience (recently released). Enjoy.

1)Chris, tell us a something about your background?
I’m Canadian, but I was educated in England, at Oxford University, in both economics and philosophy. I teach internationally, and currently I live in Venezuela.

My first book, Parapsychology and the Skeptics, was primarily concerned with understanding why a substantial minority of the scientific community has been vehemently denying the existence of psychic abilities such as telepathy for well over a century.

My second book, which has just been released, is titled Science and the Near Death Experience, and deals with the mind-body relationship, and what the near-death experience (NDE) can tell us about that.
You all had me going there. You were just saying that this Chris Carter reminded you of the XFIles. Oh. So does the baseball player on the Oakland A's and the kid down the street. This particular Chris Carter was fascinating. It was a very interesting article. I might need to read further. The subject matter was very XFile-ish.
