"I have very mixed feelings about Season 2. Some of the best episodes are there, but also some very weak ones. I know I am judging this show through the lens of expectations set by some very tight story arc writing (the sort of writing that…"

"I think Frank's issues are really the best. They have that true genuine X-Files feeling in it, Other issues kinda lack it, unfortunatelly. And to be honest, Brian Denham's illustrarions are not that great in last issues... :("

Hello.

I'm obviously a big fan of Millennium and X-Files, but I also liked Frank's Night Stalker remake series. Not sure what to add, so I'll list favorite episodes:

X-Files
Squeeze, Redrum, Monday, Folie a Deux, Jose Chung's From Outer Space, Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose, Release, The Host, Irresistible, and The Unnatural.

Millennium
Borrowed Time, The Mikado, Goodbye Charlie, The Sound of Snow, Dead Letters, Seven and One, The Thin White Line, Sacrament, Covenant, Midnight of the Century.

I love Frank Spotnitz...in a completely manly way, of course.

I Want to Believe

I enjoyed the movie. The characters of Mulder and Scully showed growth and seemed very real to me. I'm not one to get into the sex life of Mulder and Scully but I do have some "shipperness" inside me; I really enjoy the believer vs. skeptic dynamic, which is the heart of the series. However I did find the ending scene with Mulder and Scully to be an excellent moment, when they talk about getting away from the darkness. The very ending scene with them rowing away was a nice thank you and goodbye… Continue

Comic Book Saturday

On Saturday I bought $34 worth of comics at this small one-day comic convention in town.

I bought an X-Files magazine with William B. Davis on the cover. It previews Season 6 and recaps Season 5. I also bought several X-Files comics: issues 8, 9, 12, 23, 33, and 41 (it says that was the last issue.) Then Part 1 of a 4-part series based on the novel, "Ground Zero." (I also bought two Angel comics.)

Now I have the first 17 issues, cool.

The guy also had two… Continue

Just a reminder:

http://network.biglight.com/forum/topics/anniversary-party

Hello fellow Big Lighters!

On May 19, 2009, Big Light's social network turns one year old. Please up us celebrate the 1st anniversary by joining us in a party.

Since we are a worldwide fandom, and taking a cue from the XFN project, this will be an international project.

Using the creative talents of Anelisse, Gomnitus, and Yellowbee, please submit a video (or photos) telling Uncle Frank of the positive experiences you've had here with folks on Biglight. These can be Phile events you have been part of, finding other Philes in your area, or thanking him for creating this site. Entries can be solo or with a group; in your native language or English.

We are anticipating a HUGE turnout, so please read and follow the submission guidelines below.

Guidelines:

- videos must be a maximum of 20 seconds
- no .MOV files
- if you have photos posted on your BL page and wish them to be used, please let us know via email

The deadline for submission is APRIL 30, 2009.

Send your submissions to biglightparty@yahoo.com

Let's make this party happen and thank Uncle Frank for the wonderful site he created.

I'm an electrical engineer by schooling and now do testing of a medical device used for removing cataracts for a company named AMO (formerly Advanced Medical Optics). I like to tell people I get to break things! :) Besides validating that the system does what it's supposed to do, I do "devious" tests to make sure it DOESN'T do what it's NOT supposed to do, too.

How about you?

Hey, Andy...glad to see the pix you've taken. BTW - my hometown is Moline, IL and I went to the U of I in Champaign. After a few very harsh winters and the dull job prospects in the Quad Cities...I struck out for CA and have been here ever since (but I did fly in to Decatur, IL at the beginning of March this year: I was presenting a "paranormal investigation" video that I was involved in at Troy Taylor's first ever "Dead of Winter Film Festival".

Later!

A,

Here is my new crusade you guys:

Many of us want to (and in some cases are already attending) the LA Premiere on July 23. I'm asking everyone to email Gillian and Frank and see what options us hard cord, dedicated Philes can have at the Premiere, especially in seeing the film and/or meet and greet with any XF cast or crew member.

With Gillian's auctions going on later this week, I'm estimating the prices for the tickets to go anywhere between $10,000 - $30,000. I know most of us work and/or go to school and that is WAY out of our leagues. In the past, it seems that those individuals who can afford these prices may not be 1st or 2nd generation Philes or even care for the show that much, but only do it to say they have or because it's the "In" thing to do.

With all the time, effort, dedication, sweats, tears, and love we have poured into the success of XF2, don't we deserve a fighting chance?

When you email Gillian at http://www.gilliananderson.ws/inter/questions.shtml
perhaps offer a different solution. Suggest a small donation, maybe a few hundred dollars to a charity of her choice, for a chance to see the film or have a meet and greet with her or any other XF cast or crew member.

When you email Frank at questions@biglight.com suggest a raffle, lottery, donation, essay contest, ANYTHING to give us poor, dedicated nobody's a chance to be a part of something special, something we have loved for YEARS.

Thanks in advance to all of you. Spread this email around to other Philes to ensure something happens (hey, it worked with the LAFF autographs right?)

How's this. For all the Philes that can't attend the the dinner and festival AND would like their names on the poster for Frank, email me at raskolnikov97@yahoo.com and I will make sure it's on there.

Tell me if you want your screen name and/or real name on the poster and your location (cause Frank is big on that with our emails to him)
