Well, HELLO! And welcome to my Big Light!

Oh to live the life of a student. Funds are always tight, and often at the most awkward of moments. Particularly at the end of the term, when shows, assignments, and exams have forced work hours to be cut back. This month brought an awkward triangle of a busted DVD player, a busted laptop disk drive I won't be able to relinquish for repair until after exams and papers are completed, and rent due tomorrow morning. Though she'd been suffering health difficulties for some time, and the news came without shock, I was sad to hear that my dear grandmother passed away today. At 92, she was a remarkable lady, and had lived her life freely and fully. For twelve years was the mayor of her home town of Lac Du Bonnet, Manitoba; she'd traveled the globe, instituted charities, worked herself through a BA degree at a time when women at universities were scarce, taught home economics and science at the local high school… Continue

Michelle and Caileigh both requested I add a post about "stuff to do with Kraft Dinner" to my old LJ food blog, and now I imagine, I'll have to get that puppy up and rolling again.
I've got a newly perfected blueberry oatmeal muffin recipe to throw out there, a few good ways to make traditional lasagna rock out of the park, beets to be pulled form the garden and messed with, plus a home-made chicken noodle soup to be perfected.
