This is me in my XF2 shirt. Promotion in Germany, yay!
Well, now a few things about myself. I am Vicky, 22, from Germany.
I have been a passionate and devoted X-Phile for.....let me think.....10 years now? 13 years ago I watched my first episode and damn - I was so young and so scared ;)
Anyway - a life without the X-Files has become absolutely unimaginable for me. This show accompanied me throughout my whole youth. It gave me strength, hope, confidence and a world that I could escape to. And I needed this world, really.
Maybe I don`t need it anymore now. I have grown up, I try to live my life the best I can and I am no longer a this desperate teenager....but my love for this show is still
there and I am certain that it will always be. This is more than just a "favourite show", so much more.
I can hardly express how excited I am about the second movie, how much this means to me and how grateful I am.
Never, ever did I give up hope and now it becomes reality.
Thank you and....never give up on a miracle!

Uhm....I must have been in a serious state of mental derangement when I did this. I partook in the Waiting for the Movie Campaign from xfilesultimate.com and recorded a video of me telling what I miss about the X-Files. Don`t get me wrong - it`s a wonderful campaign - but I hate hearing my own voice and so on.....uhm ya ^_^
Here it is (don`t know for how long, though *grin*)

Oh 2008. What a time. Crazy and highly emotional.

Wie die Einspielergebnisse bisher leider beweisen ist The X-Files - I Want To Believe (im Deutschen Jenseits der Wahrheit) kein Film für die breite Masse. Was sie außerdem beweisen ist die Tatsache, dass Menschen leicht zu beeinflussen sind. Kaum erscheinen schlechte Kritiken, schon bleiben die Kinobesucher aus. I am happy about this movie because it actually happened. I am happy because it showed the relations…

I am happy because it is as ambiguous and subtle as I expect an X-Files movie to be.
I am happy because it is so different and intelligent that the broad masses don`t seem to understand it.

Whew, good question. There are a lot of things I want to see and just as many things I *don't* want to see.

I am more or less 1st generation. My first episode was The Host, I was 10 years old and scared shitless. I got really hooked up a bit later, during season 4, when I was about 12 and able to deal with the scaryness. ;)
