RIP KIM MANNERS
I am heartbroken to have found out that the great Director/Producer Kim Manners of The X-Files and much more passed away this past Sunday. It is heard to process his death, someone who has inspired me so much though out my life, especially my education. Kim is part of the team who gave me a passion in film and TV studies. My wishes go out to the Manners family and everyone who knew this great man.

Hello fellow Big Lighters!
On May 19, 2009, Big Light's social network turns one year old. Please up us celebrate the 1st anniversary by joining us in a party.
Since we are a worldwide fandom, and taking a cue from the XFN project, this will be an international project.
Using the creative talents of Anelisse, Gomnitus, and Yellowbee, please submit a video (or photos) telling Uncle Frank of the positive experiences you've had here with folks on Biglight. These can be Phile events you have been part of, finding other Philes in your area, or thanking him for creating this site. Entries can be solo or with a group; in your native language or English.
We are anticipating a HUGE turnout, so please read and follow the submission guidelines below.
Guidelines:
- videos must be a maximum of 20 seconds
- no .MOV files
- if you have photos posted on your BL page and wish them to be used, please let us know via email
The deadline for submission is APRIL 30, 2009.

- FL for film school? Was Vancouver too expensive? What about NY? BTW, when XF3 comes out, you need to fly up to Vancouver with the lot of us and really embrace the fandom, the sites, and the rounds of Agent Scully's we drink.
As for me, I decided to be a masochist and head back to school for a 2nd degree. I still wonder why I did this to myself, knowing that I work full time. Clearly I have issues that need to be addresses. =)
I need to pack for the trip tomorrow. I'm heading down to LA for "Uncle" Frank's book signing with Matt Hurwitz. Did you buy the "Big Book" as I call it? Like/dislike? Haven't bought it?
