Hello my devoted xphiles!
I sit here on Perla's cute computer to tell you that... I've made it to San Diego, CA!!!
And I'm just ready to taste some of her vegan delish, see if she can actually sell me this trend. She says its a change of life, Isay I don't like tofu... but its all good.
She was so excited to see me that she could barely contain herself!
Don't you love to be hugged like this!? Any way, we have a busy week, she tells me. I'll try to… Continue

YES! I got a ticket for A Doll's House in London. Yes, I'm incredibly excited and feel bad for doing it already. Andy and I will go to London together. I'm actually going as a Toby Stephens fan. It was only after I heard about Toby and the play that I realized Gillian was in it too. So that's even better. I know one usually meets Toby at the stage door and he gives autographs and chats. Not sure if Gillian does that. If so, I'll try to....no actually I'll probably just faint.… Continue

While somethings go down and some go up, i question myself, is this really the time for me to accept losing my dog to his illness. I love my dog so much that even though I am tired if I know everything, I will do anything to treat him.
I've been lots of little problems but somehow they seem to resolves their selves on their own and I just need to ride with the flow. I've been having problems about my enrollment last week and now it's resolved.
I had a problem with a guy… Continue

I know it feels like ages since we last spoke, Facebook, Twitter and Moxed kept me soooo busy!
So What did I do in Florida? I think we managed to squeeze some very serious load of activities. After my last post, I told you we were going to Jury duty right? Well we went!
I had to get X-Rays, and boy this is such a cheap way to do that than to go to the doctor! Then again not everyone is my size and can fit into a tote bag. I felt so alive with all the… Continue

I went to MoviePals.org today and watched Jathias Wager. A wonderfuly made (visually) film with a thin story and TERRIBLE acting. Regardless this film gives us a wonderful idea of what an open source idea could be.

My dog had a wound about two weeks ago I think. He got sick because he it was infected. He got well eventually but now he's sick again. And I don't know what to do anymore. I've been trying to diagnose him by remembering the diseases we studied in school but I couldn't came out with the exact infection.
I did all I know with him and all the vet's advice. What doctors do their patients. At first when doctors doesn't know yet the diagnosis, they treat by giving medications for each… Continue

Anyhow, man this girl rocks, I can't say the same for her brother, but the minute I got there she challenged me to a round of Guitar Hero which I, of course, passed with flying colors, 'cause well you know me... I rock, and roll. Actually, she was about to pass me but heh, came around with some AC/DC and that put me where I belong... on the top ... shelf? LOL Actually it was on top of the bed since I ended up exhausted.
Then, after we had some dinner, by the way if ever stopping by… Continue

I have been thinking allot about wikinomics recently - this idea that an open ended, collaborative platform is the future. I dig it! Think about myfootballclub.co.uk - they got 30,000 people to put in 35 pounds and they bought a football (soccer) club.
What if you could do that with movies?
What if you could get a web community together and greenlight your own films, as a community?
The community would vote on castin, set desighns, who to hire to make the music… Continue

Let me tell you something about being in a box... you can't eat... 'cause then, "you have to go"
After trying to divert my mind from the thought of my impending needs, and not achieving a long enough thought other than... "I wish this was really a first class cabin instead of a first class box"... After a while, I actually didn't care much and busted open this box, for real. I really hope no one gets blamed for the damage of the package, 'cause it was really my fault. That potato… Continue

So, I was thinking about this, how did it all started, that little obsession of mine? I think I can proudly say I was already hopelessly addicted to XF before I had even seen one single episode.
I remember, in summer of 1998 (I was 11 years old at that time), I came across an article in a tv-guide about the upcoming first x-files movie. The article was quite long with a huge picture of David and Gillian (this one:
and part of an interview with… Continue

Man, I think I've never been more tired in my life! And I'm just leaving St. Louis to cruise the world... this is not promising!
I have to tell you, while I write from my blackberry sitting in the dark, that yesterday was a blast! Seriously, Jade knows how to party, and hard! After waking up today, she left for work leaving me a note saying "hey get ready for tonight" sure... I'm a procrastinator and she knows it well. And I did try, for real, but then she's got the IWTB bluray and I… Continue

There is an X-File going on in my room right now and what I mean by an X-File is... an X-File.
It's dark in my house right now. Very dark. No light is on except for my laptop's screen light.
So. I really feel there is someone watching me right now or I'm with someone in my room right now but I assure you, I am with no body. Besides that, my wi-fi internet connection signal in my room is getting fckd up every 10 mins so obviously, I go to the library of my house (the internet… Continue

Like I said, I went to a concert with Jade... sort of a thing to do before we part ways, you know? I've been with her since I can remember, she says I'm a softy.
I caught her writing on her facebook about last night, this is what she said: "Frankenbear was a regular riot at the show tonight. He totally jammed some A Day To Remember with Kelsey and I in the car! And then he danced to Emmure with me and Kelsey at the concert! I think he wants to be a hardcore kid now. He's been wearing… Continue

You may think, what title is that and hell, what is this about?!?!?!?
I'll tell you ;o)
again in University (studying music is a lot of fun!!!) while I was sitting in my private tuition in "Volksliedkunde" (folksong analysis) we talked about the sung tunes from 17th Century and as a sudden my teacher went to J.S. Bach and said something about a Cantata and in the next moment he mentiont:
"... Oh, Bach hat ja auch diese eine *Raucherkantate* geschrieben..." / "...… Continue

okay, i just had to use it as a header. Plus, after being unable to breath without the aid of drugs for several days, I am now feeling rather shiny myself.
Spring break can be defined as the time of year when all those who work in schools get time off to be sick. I don't think there is one staff member from my school who isn't ill right now.
So, shiny it is!
The coolest thing this week was doing work on ...... um, can't say because I signed one of those… Continue

Recently I had a student posed me a question: why do I show an open dislike of Sex and the City
(and by extension, others of its genre like Desperate Housewives
) when I am clearly one of its ‘target audience’. Funnily enough, this is actually the second time someone has posed such a question to me. “Why not Sex and the City
, why The X-Files
,” a friend asked earlier in the year. Indeed, why not The X-Files
and why must it be Sex and the City
? Is it… Continue

This community is such a great place, and I know I should make more full use of it. Not to mention, hang out here more. :) I will endeavour to try. On to my thoughts - this was something I posted back in August 2008 on my own site
- so without further ado: -
has been the big love of my life for 14 years now. My deep involvement with the show - as a fan and as an academic - has pretty much dictated which television shows… Continue

Ok y'all, I'm not a very good writer so I'm putting this out there for those of you can write and have a vivid imagination. In my home state of South Carolina we have an urban ledgend called the lizard man. The lizard man is a violent killer...so the story goes. He attacks cars and people in the middle of the night. Now what if Mulder and Scully were to investigate the lizard man??? Email me for me details and let's see who can write a pretty decent story/screenplay!… Continue

The Pinoy X-Philes held another episode marathon last March 7, 2009. Held at a private house in Malate, the long-awaited marathon was deemed special as the group paid tribute to X-Files director/producer Kim Manners who recently passed away. Kim Manners directed and/or produced a great number of well-loved episodes throughout the seasons of The X-Files. As such, selected episodes directed by him were chosen by the group for screening at the marathon.
And for the first time in Pinoy… Continue
