Michelle and Caileigh both requested I add a post about "stuff to do with Kraft Dinner" to my old LJ food blog, and now I imagine, I'll have to get that puppy up and rolling again.
I've got a newly perfected blueberry oatmeal muffin recipe to throw out there, a few good ways to make traditional lasagna rock out of the park, beets to be pulled form the garden and messed with, plus a home-made chicken noodle soup to be perfected.
For today, it's KD college cooking. I'll do an…

So about two weekends ago i went to las vegas to see Cher at Caesar's Palace. Not only was she AMAZING and looked great for however old she is (affiliated with TXF and aging fabulously, do you see a pattern emerging here scully?) but
SHE SANG "WALKING IN MEMPHIS!!!!!!!!!!"
Kids. For reals. I got up out of my seat and danced. Danced like a crazed monkey. Danced like I was Gene Kelly incarnate. She rocked it. No mention of the show, but YOU KNOW. YOU…

I’ve been sitting here, pouring over research, dull, dull, dull research in hopes of stumbling upon a moment of brilliance, one of those great factoids that hoist a project to its next level. Not much to pass on unless you wanted to know that the number one feature North Americans admire about its most popular public figures, is hair. America is obsessed with hair. Jennifer, Bennifer, Brangelina, hell, Hillary too. Not one survey lists a single uttered phrase or personality trait as their…

Yes, and with the change in weather comes the end of summer and my 'XF year' or more appropriately, my 'I Want to Believe' year.
Yes, we are experiencing the end of summer here in BC. Oh, we may get another sunny day or two, perhaps a week even, but we have had
the switch. One day we wake up to cooler winds, and they are cool despite the number on the thermometer, and we all know; we've had our summer.
Ugh.
I can run in 90 degrees, but this cool wet stuff…

People who find joy/pleasure/fulfillment in saying shitty things about The X-Files [and all it's components] are obviously: a) not getting laid, b) not ever getting laid and c) sad.
That's all folks!

Frank Spotnitz has the most infectious smile and it seemed to light up the whole place. His genuine enthusiasm was delightful and if the fans weren't Frank fans before this day, they are now.

So yeah not even a month after the movie premiere the movie was officially pulled from the theaters here. The closest theater to me thats still playing the movie is like almost 4 hours away. Just goes to show how sucky Michigan is and how unloyal the fans here are. Except the few of us who did actually see it more than once. Grrrr it just perturbs me a bit. Stupid theaters and stupid people hating on the film. Those who 'need' to fit in with society. So very very lame!

Then do i have a post for you!
I've been discussing the movie with fellow Big-Lighter Marlene and decided to post what we've been talking about regarding IWTB. I would love outside opinions regarding the following points. I've been hesitant to post earlier, because of the complexity of this discussion, but I think enough people are out there to have detailed opinions. Here goes!
1. DOGS
Ceberus was the three headed dog that guarded the underworld. also considered…

Hello!

Well.. aside of that Mulderish observation of mine.. I wanted to share some thoughts about my experience with the movie in the theaters specifically:

August 12, 2008 - our 2nd day in our X-Files Photo Exhibit, and we are getting number of people who are visiting in our exhibit. I told them they can take a picture for it is the purpose of that photo exhibit.
I was waiting for my other PXP members to arrived from the meeting with Fox/Warner Philippines, when I saw one of our oldest members, Batchie who came for the The X-Files: IWTB premiere night hosted by C/S (Crime/Suspense) channel. When I mentioned that we are not sure if the…

First off, I should admit that I'm a dinosaur. Not literally, mind you, just in the sense that I never have go tthe hang of some of the technology my kids use like they were born to it.
I guess there were. Born to it, that is.
For example, though i know and can use my mac with ease, cell phones and cameras confound me.
Particularly cameras. I have never mastered the art of holding it at arms length and snapping those candid shots everyone under 30 seems to do so…

Final preparations aside, the street has been transformed from a regular carrier of commuters, sightseers and shoppers to the glitzy glam of a red carpet extravaganza, waiting for our heroes to show up.

We are fans of
The X-Files from the Philippines. "Pinoy" is a colloquial Tagalog term for a Filipino. When
The X-Files was first aired on our local channel, it made a big impression on the Filipino viewers, especially because the show dealt with paranormal phenomena -- a subject close to Philippine mysticism.
Our group was formed in 2003 when four small, Filipino fan groups of
The X-Files collaborated for the first ever Philippine Science Fiction and Fantasy…

We spent a long time waiting for the bus.
A very long time.
While Marcella read the article in the TV guide we found (there is no longer a print edition of this in Canada), I sat with my ears plugged. I did not want any hints of what might be in the film, and she couldn't help squeeing at times.
