You know it's bad when......

.... your staff meeting starts with the number of instructional days left, the number of days until the first Pro -D day and the number of days until Christmas break.

Oh, and the administrator, who is part of the healthy schools initiative and a health nut, purchases ice cream and cupcakes for the staff meeting.

And it's the fake stuff. With all those long words that end in 'ides' (Annie would probably know what they actually are), I'm not a fan of sugar stuff. I was looking for the spiked punch bowl.

Yes, it was that crazy.

We're all blaming the full moon.

It has to be the reason why things were as nutty as they've been; the alternatives are .... well, there aren't any. Yesterday saw staff member after staff member in the office involved in one restorative session after another...... we'd get one done and there'd be another incident with another student and we'd start all over again. It is the nature of our work, but it usually isn't this busy on a Thursday.

Now, Friday, or 'hook up day,' is another story.

On a positive note, it hasn't started raining yet, though the skies are rather grey, and today is a staff only day.

I'm just hoping someone dropped something stronger than cream into the coffee.
