Olympic Fever
Well, it's almost here.
Two years ago I put my application in to be a volunteer for the Olympics. I thought my skills as a driver might come in handy, so I've always held onto my class 2 (with air even) which means I can drive vehicles such as a school bus.
Yes, in my prior life I drove a school bus. A great big yellow school bus. I loved it -- I loved the students. To make a long-two-year-story-short-- I'm driving in Whistler for the next two weeks.
I am so excited!
Last night we (collective we--as in all the volunteers) were treated to a full dress rehearsal (minus the flame) of the opening ceremonies. Like a good volunteer, I won't be sharing any details. Just make sure you watch. It was spectacular. Tape it - or PVR it (guess that's the new 'taping' of this era).
