What do you think is the biggest thing you've learned working in television?
David Duchovny: It's a scary thing and I think it's all you have is your gut, in the end. You can learn a bunch of sh*t and you can tell yourself a bunch of rules, but in the end it's like listening to a song, you either like it or you don't. You've gotta be able to keep your own counsel. You can't come into a room saying, "I like that song," and leave going, "I don't like that song." You've got to stick to your gut which is all you have. That's why everybody is so crazy out here, because there's no formula and all anybody has is their gut. That's a terrifying thing to have to feed a family on.
Hi Patricia, just want to thank you for being so fast in sending the Believe Again DVDs. Just got mine to today, and I didn't expect it until next year! What a nice Christmas surprise! Happy Holidays :-)
Hi Kate,
I will visit LA i September and now read that Gillian will be introducing stuff for "The a of stupid" premiere... I read that they are planning to screen he event in other cities, so "Fingers crossed" hopefully the will be something in LA... maybe that would be the perfect time to meet?!
Yes, that was mine! Good to hear it made it there :) I decided to get two just so I could finally take advantage of free shipping. That never works outside of the US ;)
You're the one who'll be receiving all the donated IWTB DVDs, right? :) I just got confirmation from Amazon that my order has been shipped. Anyway, I'd appreciate a heads up if (well, hopefully "when"!) you get anything from them with a reference to Norway. Just so I know it made it there all right :) That is if they include my address when they ship it elsewhere? I've never tried it before with Amazon...
Nice to meet you too! Thanks for you answer, it's so sad that they do not have plans to release this video. =( But... "never give up on a miracle", right?
Hello, Kate!
I am from Russia and my English not so good as would like it to be so, please, excuse me some mistakes. I just want to say that you, girls, your LA Fanderson Marathon group is so sweet. I saw a little video about your "field trip" ;) to the FOX lot and it's very cute and funny. You are very lucky because you could visit the place where was happened the magic of the X-files! I think it's a dream of every fan, in any case, this is my dream. =)
And I also have one question to you, Kate. Under one of your group photos you left signature - "The LA Fanderson Marathon group at the Paley Center for Media getting ready to watch the '95 Paley Fest Q&A." I want to ask where did you get video with this Q&A? You know, I am a fan just only eight and a half years and also BIG fan of Chris, I love this incredible man! And now is very difficult to get some photos or videos from 90s, especially with Chris. :-( Maybe you can help me with that? If you can't tell me where did you get this video, maybe you give me a little piece of it?
Anyway, thank you so much. You are awesome!!!
If you could email the contacts you are still on good terms with, I would appreciate that. I'm prepping for a "special guest" tomorrow and trying to stay awake. I suspect this sugar high will end very soon and then I'm no good to anyone!
„A man matters, his experiences matter, but in a city, where experiences come by the thousands, we can no longer relate them to ourselves, and this is of course the beginning of life’s notorious turning into abstraction.“
-Robert Musil

They work fine on my computer, and even work in my Blu-ray player! Thanks again.
